Description: Are you unsure when to leave your agency job and go to full-time private practice? Are you wanting ways to specifically market and grow your faith-based practice? In this webinar, co-hosted by practice consultants David Sturgess and Whitney Owens, we will identify the steps needed to go full-time private practice. We will also explore how to market a faith-based practice as well as listening to God's direction in your practice growth.

Abstract: Deciding to transition from agency work to starting your own therapy practice is a significant career move that requires careful consideration. Everyone always says, “Timing is everything.” However, it’s hard to know when and how to take a big leap of faith and start your own practice. This webinar will take you through it step-by-step.

Presenters: David Sturgess is the owner of Foundry Counseling and an esteemed member of the Wise Practice Consulting team. He is an industry expert and repeat guest on the Wise Practice Podcast, David Sturgess, a licensed professional counselor in Marietta, Georgia, has an extensive background in business operations in the health sector. With a focus on individuals and families healing from trauma, his expertise extends to consulting and training for churches, schools, businesses, and agencies. David is also the leader of the Wise Practice Membership Community Weekly Small Groups.

Whitney Owens, LPC, MA is a licensed professional counselor and group practice owner located in Savannah, Georgia. Along with running her practice, she educates clinicians across the nation on growing the clinical acumen and growing their private practice. She hosts a weekly podcast called the Wise Practice Podcast. She has spoken multiple times at the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia’s annual conference as well as the Maryland Professional Counselors Conference, and training for the Florida Counseling Association. Whitney graduated from Richmont Graduate School in 2010 with a Master in Professional Counseling.
